We spoke to Marek Maciejewski, director of product development at TCL Europe, to clarify rumours about the company launching QD OLED (quantum dot OLED) by the end of this year.

Marek said that there has been a misunderstanding on the part of the reporter who broke the story, and that TCL is launching a QD OLED TV, but only next year (2021).

He refused to be drawn on who is supplying the QD-OLED panel, but since realistically there's only one TV-sized QD-OLED panel supplier on the market at the time we filmed this video in September 2020, it's likely to be coming from Samsung Display.
