LG has started rolling out a new firmware update for its 2020 OLED TVs including the CX & GX, which will add 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision gaming support. The firmware version will be 04.30.xx (last 2 digits may vary by region), with global rollout staggered from middle of next week to the end of October.

While LG's official statement is still that the company's "looking into" adding 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision support for the LG C9, we explain the unfortunate truth of why this is unlikely to happen.
