Our resident HDR expert Adam Fairclough (also known as @EvilBoris online) analyses The Mandalorian on the new Disney Plus streaming service, and discovers that the show's maximum peak brightness is capped at 200 nits even though it is labelled as [HDR]/ [Dolby Vision].
The cinematic intro & talking head segments were filmed in HLG HDR using the Panasonic GH5S MFT camera, then graded and exported in HDR10 using Davinci Resolve with massive help from Adam (@EvilBoris).
