We review the Philips 806 OLED TV - it's the first television we've tested with the Mediatek HDMI 2.1 chipset that successfully resolved full 4K@120Hz resolution without the help of a co-processor, but only under certain conditions (Monitor mode, no ALLM, no VRR).

At 5:10 in this video, we meant to say "even though there's no [Film Mode] setting on board".

We also forgot to mention that the Philips 806 is running Android 10 (but not Google TV) as its Smart TV platform.

This video was graded and uploaded in HDR10, but because Youtube takes a long time to process a 14-minute 2160p60 video for HDR presentation, it may temporarily only be available in SDR.

The "Includes Paid Promotion" message in this video refers to the sponsorship by UK online retailer Box.co.uk. If you're thinking about getting the Philips 806, please support this channel by considering buying from them.
