LG Electronics has filed trademark applications in the European Union for QNED which stands for Quantum Nano Emitting Diodes, a next-gen display self-emissive technology using GaN-based Nanorod LEDs as blue light emitter.

However, as far as we're aware, Samsung Display is the pioneer behind QNED technology, with plans to convert its QD-OLED manufacturing line to QNED once QNED is out of the R&D phase.
