We demonstrate the detrimental effects of always-on HDR from the Netflix app on the Microsoft Xbox One X/ S and Sony PS4 Pro consoles, causing SDR (standard dynamic range) titles to be displayed as HDR.

The three main problems caused by this issue are elevated blacks, washed out colours, and increased power consumption.
