Does the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max have the best camera on an iPhone ever? To take the title it needs to defeat the iPhone 14 Pro, which until very recently could claim to have the best iPhone camera ever. We put the two smartphone cameras against each other in a tough test which takes the main camera, wide-angle camera, telephoto camera, Smart HDR advancements, video performance and a lot more into account.

The good news is the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s camera has plenty of small but meaningful changes, which ensure it takes some stunning photos, and the latest iteration of Smart HDR really makes a difference when taking photos in difficult lighting. But don’t think the iPhone 14 Pro is totally defeated, as it still takes some beautiful pictures. Which camera wins, and which phone can claim to have the best camera on an iPhone ever?
