TCL X10 (8 Series) 4K Mini LED TV Detailed: 768 Zones; 15360 LEDs!

At a media briefing in China, TCL has revealed details of the company's upcoming 65-inch X10 (also marketed as the TCL 8-Series in the USA) Mini LED TV. Features include:

- 768 independently dimmable zones (32x24)
- 15,360 LEDs (20 LEDs in each zone)
- 17x17x17 internal 3D LUT for 4913 point colour mapping
- CalMAN Autocal support
- Slim chassis that is cool to touch
- Optical layer to widen viewing angle
- Peak brightness of 1500 nits
- 100% DCI-P3 colour volume
- HDR support for HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision
- Chipset is capable of VRR, but TCL is still undecided whether to enable it
- Android 9.0 at launch
- Target price between €2000 & €2500
