Today's review is on the new Focal Celestee closed-back headphone. The Focal Celestee is based off of Focal's first full-sized closed-back headphone, the Elegia. The Celestee is the newest headphone from Focal and is a fantastic option if you are looking for a closed-back headphone for under $1000. It is hand build in their Burgundy, France facility with premium materials while still remaining lightweight enough to take on-the-go. The Celestee has a low impedance of 35 Ohms making it ultra-convenient to use with any portable music player like your smartphone - but, as with all headphones capable of revealing the fine details of music, they come even more alive when you use a better DAC. Focal uses 40mm 'M'-shaped Aluminium/Magnesium dome speaker drivers in the Celestee and while these are not as high performance as the Beryllium drivers Focal is famous for, they sound incredibly musical and are just super fun to listen to.
