Philips 804 & 854 OLED TV Gets Dolby Vision, Atmos & 2019 Panel

TP Vision, the company responsible for the development & marketing of Philips TV in the UK and Europe, has launched its new 2019 range of OLED TVs, namely the Philips 804 & 854 series.

Coming in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, the Philips 804 and 854 will feature Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos support, a 2019 WRGB OLED panel from LG Display, third-generation P5 video processing engine, and Android 9 (Pie) at launch.

Things we forgot to mention in the video:

1) The underlying chipset on the Philips OLED804 & OLED854 is HDMI 2.0b and not full-spec HDMI 2.1... we are awaiting clarification on whether any HDMI features such as ALLM, VRR or eARC can be implemented.
2) We forgot that the Loewe bild 7 OLED can also be specced with a swivel stand.
3) The TVs will ship with Android 9 (Pie) at launch.
4) White balance calibration controls have been expanded from 2-point to 20-point.
