We explain why your OLED TV will blow out the HDR specular highlight detail in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on the Xbox Series X, by analysing the HDR10 output using a Canon reference monitor with inbuilt HDR analysis toolkit.
We then displayed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on the LG C1 and the Sony A90J OLED TVs, as well as a Samsung QN900A Neo QLED TV which is capable of a peak brightness of 1600 nits on a 10% window after calibration to D65 white point.
This video was graded and uploaded in HDR10, but because Youtube takes a long time to process a 2160p video for HDR presentation, it may temporarily only be available to watch in SDR.
