Miles Morales PS5 HDR Analysis + Best Settings: Adjustable to 10,000 Nits, But Should You?

We analysed the HDR picture quality of Marvel's Spider-man: Miles Morales on the Sony PS5, and found that it's a game that uses the HGIG calibration screen on the console itself, allowing you to adjust the in-game peak brightness up to a maximum of 10,000 nits.

We measured no difference in HDR peak brightness between the [Fidelity] and [Performance] modes.

Between 11:30 and 11:41 in this video, our camera was overexposed (we forgot to reduce the camera exposure), therefore blowing out visible steps on the test pattern which we could actually distinguish in real life.
